About Ceylon Cinnamon
Ceylon Cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) — also known as 'True Cinnamon' — is the world's most prized variety, and Sri Lanka produces over 90% of the global supply. Unlike cassia cinnamon, Ceylon Cinnamon has a delicate, complex sweetness, lower coumarin levels, and a soft, layered bark structure. Our cinnamon is cultivated in the traditional cinnamon gardens of southern Sri Lanka and processed by skilled peelers who hand-roll each quill. From Alba-grade sticks to pure cinnamon powder and essential oil, our Ceylon Cinnamon represents the pinnacle of quality.
Our Commitment to Excellence
FEORCEYLON Values
Hand-peeled by master craftsmen using traditional methods passed down through generations. Low coumarin content (safe for daily consumption). Certified by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution and meeting EU/US food safety regulations.
Making Method
Cinnamon bark is carefully stripped from branches, hand-scraped to remove the outer layer, and then rolled into the characteristic quill shape. Quills are dried in shade for optimal flavor development. Grades range from Alba (finest, pencil-thin) to H-series (thicker bark). Powder is ground from selected quill grades, and oil is steam-distilled from bark and leaf.
Origin & Sourcing
Grown in the coastal belt of southern Sri Lanka — primarily in Galle, Matara, and Hambantota districts. The sandy, slightly acidic soils and tropical maritime climate are uniquely suited for producing the world's finest cinnamon.
